An explorative trip among gestures, methods, beliefs and rituals with therapeutical functions that Paola Anzichè is working on, in relation to contexts which are geographically very distant but culturally closed, like the deep South of Italy and the South America.
The program has been conceived in order to track down stories and accounts of phenomenons connected to the ancient beliefs which hardly had the honour of the historical documentation, that offered important cues to for a new direction of studies, as half-invisibles, hidden or marginals, but in the reality very present on the contemporary social and cultural behavior, as field of relations and experiences between body and spirit.
Paola Anzichè was born on 1975 in Milan. She got the Degree at the Städelschule, Staatliche Hochschule Für Bildende Künste, a Frankfurt am Main. her solo show include: ‘Greater Torino: Paola Anzichè-Paola Piscitelli’, Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Torino (2010); ‘Tapis-àporter’, Careof, Milano( 2009); ‘The Functional Fake Objects’, Placentia Arte, Piacenza (2007).
